Ok, you know I love my Country Living! But, really...I didn't know what to think when I got this in the mail this month! My first reaction was "Bargains!!!??? Those are NOT bargains!! I was actually almost a little mad....wanting a little something more applicable to myself. :)

Ok, maybe to some they seem like bargains, but not really to me. Now, you know I went online and entered to win everything on that page.....and THAT would be a bargain. :)

But seriously, we have a strapped budget, and I know I'm not alone in that.
$25 a pillow is no bargain in my mind. Nor is $40 for the lamp....or the rest of it for that matter. My $250 Simply Shabby Chic shelf {originally from Target} that I found for $20 at Dirt Cheap.....now THAT's an amazing bargain! And, yes, I know that's rare, but still!

Guess that's why I'm a DIY'er, if that's a word....and I guess I must describe myself as a "Junker." Flea markets, garage sales, estate sales, Dirt Cheap {local salvage store}, and even the barns......those are the best places to find great pieces for refreshing. {Which by the way is where I find stuff to redo and resell because I can sell it cheaper obviously....REAL bargains!}

There's more important things we can be spending our money on! So, as much as I love painting, decorating, organizing etc., I don't want to spend a lot of money on it, nor can I with my teeny tiny budgeted blow money. I guess I also don't want to spend a ton of time on it, but lucky for me, I enjoy painting and redoing these things. So, it's what I do in the little spare time I have and it's not a chore to me. {but if it is to you, feel free to give me a call!} :)

Sorry, for my rampage on bargains. I just get so disappointed when I see the sign "Bargain!" and come to find out that it's not in my bargain budget!

And all that will take us to my next post and is the inspiration behind my first giveaway as promised....coming tomorrow! :)

***But, first! I just saw that Lola B's is actually having a GREAT giveaway, so head on over and check her out if it's not too late! She was the first blog that I ever really started reading and I love her design style and her shop! {which is sadly indefinitely closed}

See you soon!
