"Laura Lane"

This is shameful.  I went to visit my friend, Laura, and I FULLY intended on taking pictures of their sweet new little baby, Stella. However, all I came home with were pictures of some of my favorite things in her HOUSE!  I know that's totally backwards, but we were going the whole time and didn't even get to take any pictures of Stella or all of us together.  I did manage to get these pictures the morning we left, but Laura, Chris, and Stella were long gone by then.

In case you're not aware, Chris and Laura were in the adoption process for a LONG time, and then all of a sudden they were called and were given a newborn baby within ONE week!   It was a sweet blessing to get to see these friends and hear more about their story of God bringing them all together as a family in His perfect timing and plan.

So, even though I don't have pictures of Stella to show off, I do have some pictures of her nursery and a few pics around their house.  I didn't take pictures of rooms as a whole, but just a few of my faves since the nursery is still coming together.

Laura still has some things she wants to do in her house, and like most anyone else, she's doing it slowly here and there.  Nevertheless, she has made the best of her home and it's so warm and inviting!

Aloe plant in the mason jar.......

I don't know what exactly it is about this shutter, but it just made me happy every time I saw it.....
maybe it's since I love me some yellow......

In the master bath......

Custom nursery bedding made by Chris' mom.  Sooooo pretty and sweet, huh??!!

By the way, this was Laura's crib when she was a baby.....

Isn't this just so pretty??!

LOVE the vintage mixed in!  Look!  There's a corner of Stella!

Well, here's as much of Stella as you will see. :)  This frame was a gift from a local boutique.  I'm thinking I may have to make my own one day.  I love it!  Ok, and I just think this setting is just like Laura's style.....a bit of chic, a bit of vintage, a bit of shabby, and a bit of coastal.

Sweet baby!  Sweet frame, too!

Chris' mom made this slipcover for the chair and these curtains.  I didn't get the top of them, but the top has matching fabric......whatever those window box covers are.....can't think of the name!

Gotta love "Laura Lane."  I'm just gonna assume she got that legally. :)  This chalkboard came out of the old school building her dad works in, I think.  She painted black chalk board paint over the green chalk board.

unique and pretty clock I love......

I have a few more pics from our trip to post next time....
