In the mud...

Adolyn was cheesing it for the camera the whole time outside.  Anna Jaymes, however was not so excited….and Cole could care less as long as he was in the mud.  At first, I tried to leave him in the laundry room, but he wasn't going for that as you can see below.

just to make all of you with dirty windows feel better….

Who knew they were so disgusting!?  They will definitely get cleaned this week!!
{and because I can never leave out an analogy...just like the dirt/sin in our own lives…we live with it every day, and it doesn't even look dirty to our own eyes until you really inspect it. We're numb to it.
And how often do we really inspect it?  How often are we in the Word to be convicted and how often do we pray asking the Holy Spirit to show us the dirt and help us get rid of it?
"Create in me a clean heart, Oh God,
and renew a steadfast spirit within me."
Psalm 51:10}

Sweet faces.  This is her "cheese" face….I'm sure you've seen it before around here.

I don't know why I like this one…maybe it's because she's actually in the mud.
I have no idea what she's thinking…as always.

I didn't edit the pics above.

{except for sharpening them after I minimized them - since they lose detail when you minimize them…which I just realized the pics didn't look as good on the blog as they did on my computer.  So I googled it and found this helpful post from kevinandamanda.com.  So, if you've noticed the same thing with your own pics, maybe this will help you, too!}

But, I did play around with this picture because I love the realness of her face here.  Those are the lips and cheeks and nose and eyes I want to remember when I look back at our pictures in years to come and miss this two year old stage….although I did ask Matt "am I really 'gonna miss this' when it's gone?" just this morning with all the kids whining in the car.  :)

I know, I know…I'm sure I will.

Anyway, I love pics from angles that show the kids' features so well.
Plus, I, of course, love Pioneer Woman's actions….but I don't remember which one I used and somehow I didn't save it in photoshop, sorry!

Thank you, Jesus we had some warm days to play outside because we're definitely freezing our tushies off out there now….19 degrees last night….the heater ran all night long….too cold for Mississippi.

"The precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes."
Psalm 19:8
