31 Days of Quotes, Day 3...

"But, courage, child: We are all between the paws of the true Aslan."

— C.S. Lewis {The Last Battle (Chronicles of Narnia, #7) }

My sweet Adolyn.

Oh, how she loves Aslan and Narnia.  She reminds me of Lucy Pevensie of Narnia and would be thrilled for a lifetime if she could bury herself in the mane of Aslan.  She sure does love some cuddles.

She is a quiet, compassionate soul.  So quiet that her heart and fears can get lost in the chaos of our days sometimes.

and this is my fear.....that her quietness will mislead me and I will miss dreams and desires and hurts and pains.

"I have learned now that while those who

speak about one's miseries usually hurt, those

who keep silence hurt more."

— C. S. Lewis

I pray that she knows she is in the Father's hands and that she can be confident in the greatest love of all, even when I miss telling her of my love...

"My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and

no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand."

 Jesus {John 10:28}

and that I can seek her intentionally and not miss her.

This was her hiding place today.  I was excited I caught her in it and was able to snap some photos.

...and if you are not familiar with Aslan or Narnia because you haven't watched or read it 599 times like we have, then you should do yourself a favor and do it now.  child or adult. no matter. no other biblical parallel storyline imagined compares with it....in my humble opinion of course!
